1. Meditation instead of Medication
I have been meditating for about a year now and wow has it been amazing! No one can argue with the proven facts of what meditation does to your physical and spiritual body. When I have headaches, I don’t turn to medicine, I either meditate or go to sleep. Try starting out with just 5 mins out of your day and the benefits are infinite!
2. Do Things You Love
Doing things that you love to do is a crucial part to living a happy life. Whether it’s a job or just what you do in your free time, do something that makes you feel fulfilled and gives you a sense of accomplishment! If your day drags on because you hate your job, think about looking for something that you love to do!
3. Lifestyle Balance
The most important thing you can do to maintain a good and positive mood is a good diet and regular sleep patterns. I have been a vegetarian for about 6 months now and I’ve seen a major difference in my own every day mood whilst being on this diet. (This is not me saying you have to become a vegan or vegetarian to be happy! It’s your choice!) Sleep and a balanced diet are major keys to increasing happiness!
4. Learn to Let Go
Letting go can mean a variety of things. Letting go could mean that you don’t let thoughts linger in your mind and fill it with negativity. Letting go could mean letting go of expectations of events in your life.
5. Friends and Peers
I literally cannot stress this enough to people when they come to me for advice! Surround yourself with people who love you and support your dreams! What positive outcome could possibly happen if you are around negative people all the time? Nothing.
6. Express Gratitude
Being grateful is the best way to acknowledge all the good in your life and boost positivity. Every morning remind yourself of all the things you have to be grateful for, even the smallest things.
